Tekhenu Hoop earrings
This item is usually held in stock ready made and ready to send.
The Tekhenu Hoop earrings are part of the new Tekhenu collection, inspired by ancient Egypt The word Tekhenu translates to Obelisk, the word which means "to pierce" as in "to pierce the sky".
Obelisks were erected to commemorate an individual or event and honor the gods. It is believed obelisks also served as a kind of training for working in stone on monumental projects which was a necessary step toward pyramid building because of the pyramid shape formed at the top of the structure. They would once have been decorated with precious metals, this along with in testing shape is what inspired this design.
The Tekhenu charm hangs on a 13mm Creole style hoop earring.
The charm is made from 100% recycled silver can easily be removed to wear the hoops alone for a more subtle look.
