Are you planning a weekend getaway to Totnes/ Devon? Or maybe you’re local looking for something creative to do in the town? Join us for an exclusive flower framing glass workshop ran by Devon based Glass Artist Hope - Rays of Hope.
Hope provides all materials, bringing along with her a range of beautiful handpicked and pressed flowers from her home in Devon. Specially created with seasonal flowers, drink refreshments provided for you to relax, get creative and leave with your very own piece of flower art. We also encourage you to bring your own pressed flowers/ polaroids or anything else you think would work too!
Normally held on an afternoon or evening, the class runs for 1.45 hrs. Starting with an insight into flower pressing you'll then move onto choosing your preferred shape frame from a various selection of pre cut glass frames . Hope will guide you into the mindful art of choosing your flowers, layering, collaging and securing them in the frame. Finishing with copper foiling and finally soldering. You will learn the traditional techniques of Tiffany Stained Glass and leave the workshop with your beautiful, hand crafted flower frame.
A creative and wholesome activity to do on your own or maybe with a family member, friend or partner. Each workshop is limited to 6 people, retaining an intimate and relaxed atmosphere. A perfect way to spend an afternoon in an inspiring environment, with the chance to browse Rebecca’s Jewellery once the class is finished too! Hope is also happy to hold private workshops if you have a group of 5/6 that you would like us to accommodate for a special event, birthday or celebration please get in touch.
How to find us on the night? Our nearest car parks are Victoria street, Morrisons and steamer quay car park. We are a 15 minute walk from Totnes train station. Totnes’s famous yellow ‘Bob the bus’ will be running on each of the nights, it’s a free park and ride service (donations optional) and stops opposite the Royal seven stars pub/hotel just a minutes walk from our shop. The shop is located at the bottom of Totnes on what is called ‘The plains’ on the corner of the Dartmouth square.
